It is not hard to come accross a student who says he/she is comfortable with all subjects except Maths! Well this actually has a simple reason which is not hard to comprehend. The reason is that Maths is a subject that focuses primarily on problem solving, which is a skill, while other subjects focus primarily on learning new things and connecting them to each other and real world. As skill and knowledge are two different things, they require two different approaches. Skills are acquired by practicing, like sports, music and other art forms. While knowledge doesn’t have this need. So, difficulty in maths can be overcome by working out enough types and enough number of problems in each concept. Students who enjoy the challenges of solving problems will naturally tend to do a lots of problems and so easily shine in Mathematics!
